Went to bed late after some IRC time and futzing around with my home page; then had a rare night of insomnia - had that 'racing mind' syndrome. I'd had iced tea at around 9 pm...but that couldn't have caused this...could it? Didn't get to sleep unt il a litle after 5 am. Had thought to go see the Gay Pride parade (people from friends Beckie and Neil's 'open and affirming' congregational church march in the parade) but felt too cr@p, especially with this chest cold. Apologized and begged off; went back to sleep for a few more hours. Woke again to a nice phone call from my Arkansas friend Sarah *waves hello to Sarah* Ha-ha; I know you're reading this!

No bread in the house; went out for a bagel. Bagels all gone. Sulked a bit, then came home and had some pesto-covered cheese tortellini for breakfast. Er, lunch. ^.^
Instead, find them from here on out posted in my hive journal. Along with witterings about various spiritual and arcane stuff. Spirit guides, astral visualizations, the odd shamanic journey - that sort of thing. About as Flakey and Eccentric as I get.

Went for another @#&$ hour-long walk due to that. My own daily cycle seems to be that I hit the lowest part of the trough mid-late afternoon. That feeling of intense loneliness, wrongness...and vague imminent Doom. Well ok; that could be more chronic anxiety I'm feeling.

Well, least I could accomplish one noteable thing today. By making that circuit.

Walking is my 'pill'. I've been doing it at least 3 times a week for 2 weeks now. If I don't experience a noticeable sense of mood improvement by a few more weeks from now after all that effort....I'll consider myself Screwed. Utterly and irredeemably Screwed.

I'll be @#$% if I'm going to have to pop a pill just to live.
A 'pizza roll' made by slinging a half pkg of filo dough with pizza sauce and montery jack, then rolling that sucker up and popping it into a 350 degree oven for about 20 min.

The result? Umm...interesting. Was gonna use pesto and cheese, but wimped out. Next time: mustard and ham.ˇ
