Early evening dream: Out driving in my hometown, going from one event back to my home to get something; saw a cop with lights on behind, pulled over, thinking it was for me, realized I didn't seem to have my glasses on, figured I'd get dinged for that, but the cop never showed up.

Was in a schooling/dorm situation. Unfamiliar roommates; at one point was out and about, concerned about getting back in time for classes, etc. Then was back at the dorm, worrying about getting dressed, IIRC.

In some school (uni) setting, but urban/in some big building. Like the more contemporary schools built recently where the facilities seem to be in a modern, glass high-rise style building. Went into a cafe space, along with some other young woman, after which many students came in.  Not sure the cafe was genuinely open, but they seemed eager to come in (needing coffee, perhaps?)

Also saw another area in this complex which I thought was a library area. (Not sure if I saw past academic library co-workers inside, which would have led me to that conclusion)...

Living in a dorm-like situation, taking some course. At one point, two students came in to the room. One reminded me of a disliked former undergrad roommate, from freshmen year - one of those "We weren't compatible, so never talked to each other once we no longer had to be roommates" situations. When they realized the room was already occupied, they left, presumably for another room (presumably the correct one).

Went to a class, super fuzzy-headed, and discovered I'd missed a special class session (that took place at a local pub), wherein the attendees were given a special homework assignment that was essentially a challenging game/puzzle. Yoda was somehow involved in the solution, I think.  So there I was in class, behind due to missing this lesson/homework. Was in that usual flakey/half awake mode.

A different dream sequence had me outside, in a shelter that had a cage/wire element.  I was there trying to see (what looked like to me) my cat. However, I eventually realized that this was an enclosure that was serving as a shelter for a couple of big cats. There was at least a lion, and maybe a tiger as well. Upon realizing this, I lifted the edge of the wire on the far side I was on, and quietly began fleeing (so's to not wake/provoke the lion). I however didn't go far or came back to make sure my cat, who had also been napping in the enclosure, was all right.

Wandering the grounds of a school.  There was this guy - reminded me of one current co-worker - whom I may have been following around (out of feeling Insecure) - who went into a classroom.  I went to follow him, but got that this was a mycology class, and wasn't *mine* - so I either didn't have to, or oughtn't to lurk there. So I wandered a bit by myself during the interim.

Was at the school I work at but needing or wanting the type of services they offer students - such as using the showers. I went over to a location, and there was this long line of people waiting to get in to use the showers.  A friend of mine was there (somewhere; she'd gone on ahead), waiting.  I asked how long the wait was, and this (asian) guy explained that there were a bunch of people waiting to get in who were 'smokers' (i.e., they were desperate to get rid of the reek). I explained I wanted to check in  with/ talk to my friend, and soon I was on a bus to the next location, but somehow still part of the showering complex.

On that bus, I sat across from a (middle-aged) couple, who were quietly but bitterly complaining about how the school had treated them.  The husband might have been an alumn,  I speculated to myself.  They didn't like the wacky shower system, and the wife grumbled of having heard gunshots (I thought to myself, that's Bridgeport for ya!) near where the school had put them up dreams, alumni, showers, .  I was listening sympathetically to their grumblings.

I went to the house I grew up in (that I visited part of this past weekend to see my dad) and found a young woman was in the process of intensely cleaning the kitchen area and was even making some changes (in where things were, how furniture was, where things were going to be stored). I was, to be honest, a tad 'envious', I guess would be the word, as part of me had wanted to be the one to do this task.  (Or could have been at least minor guilt or shame, as I maybe thought I ought to have done it.) I also found her smoking (i.e., a cigarette was going in an ashtray)  as she cleaned, and so warned her that the person who lived there had quit smoking years ago, and it would not be fair to expose him to temptation again by doing that.  She apologized for that, though in a Ionlydothat[smoke]veryoccsionally sort of way, kind of downplaying her action.

A bit later, I came back yet again, and saw her leaving, walking away somewhere, and verbally thanked her.  There was even a new entryway to the kitchen (I was, in Real Life™ only yesterday grumbling to myself about the choices my parents had made while adding an additional part of that main entryway after I'd moved out after High School). All in all, I had to admit though, that she'd done an Amazing job (though art of it was seeing it totally clean for a change, without all the objects and clutter in it).

I gort a call from someone at the place where I work; she seemed to be (or reminded me of?) a (moderately deferent) Indian student worker there from this past semester. She seemed to convey that there was something out of the ordinary going on at work (was she on a work shift???) or at the school.  I think because of this call, I went in to the school. But instead of seeing her in the library, I saw her in a classroom.  For some reason I stopped by there, and saw her going to (apparently) the 1st meeting of a new class. May have been an evening/ nighttime class. Saw the (black, female) professor telling the students a bit about herself, etc. The professor seemed like a cool lady. I may have shaken her hand or otherwise indicated it was nice to have met her.  Then, i guess, I left again. (??) Again, the general feeling that something 'out of the ordinary' was going on there in general, though am left unclear as to what that quality was.
