Dreamtime - Thursday Night

Vague. Seeming to wait at a 'bus stop' but thinking the Doctor was around (which meant, to my mind, there must be some sort of trouble going on). Kept thinking I could see him at the next bus stop down if I just strained enough. Though got the impres sion the one I wanted most to see couldn't make it; would have to be one of the other incarnations; perhaps a new one I hadn't seen before. Was intrigued by that.

Later there was some moving around someone's place. I saw a large tuba sitting in one corne r, as if the man of the house had once played in a band.

Was hanging around inside somewhere with a couple of the Buffy cast - Buffy and Xander. Got the impression we might be waiting for the others to arrive. I figured they were just finishing up shooti ng the season; Xander seemed tired, as if he couldn't wait to be done. A little later, Tony Hopkins as Hannibal Lector was there also - as if he were on the Buffy show (which actually would fit in pretty well with the show's horror milieu). At any rate, i t made 'sense' to me that he was the also, so I didn't question it. But he started being a pain; he went into this swimming pool after some 'ducklings' (or at least so I thought). And so I went in after him to haul his ass out of there with this weary 'No, you CAN'T go and eat the duckings' attitude. Was not gonna just sit there an watch him do that. I seemed to manage to get him to clamber out onto the pool's edge, though he kind of snapped at me at one point; tried to bite me. I'd say, it was as if he w ere drunk or high; maybe I knew that he was less coordinated and dangerous than usual. He lay flopped on the pool's edge, giggling, me disgusted and still standing waist-deep in the pool, as the others came to see what had happened. He called out to Buffy that he'd not listened to the voices! (That told him to do things like eat people presumably - seemed to be saying he'd been good for a change.) But I complained darkly that I'd noticed that he'd tried to take a bite out of me while I'd been getting him to climb out, and he was terribly amused, giving me this manic 'Oh, so you NOTICED that did you??' look.

Knucklehead. Gotta keep an eye on them cannibal types...KWIM?

Stemming the Tide of Depression...

FINALLY able to take my hour-long walk again today, after two days of @#$%&ing rain. Starting to feel better already, despite having a slight chest congestion.

Back to 'Reasonable' again...

Forced myself (that 'Avoidance' thing again) to call a human resources person so I could properly address a cover letter, and also another call finally once and for all nailed down my third job reference person, and thus I was able to mail out another job application.

Got my dishes (which had sat in the sink for two crappy, rainy days in a brief return to the Bad Old Ways) cleaned up and the kitchenette all put to rights again. Threw out the souring whipped cream in a bowl that'd been starting to stink up the fridge.

Ran to the co-op for two current quick-meal staples of mine: fresh ready-to-eat bagged salad greens and the big bag of Mama Rosie's tri-colored tortellinis.

After that walk I referred to earlier, the clouds dispersed and the sun came out. How @#$ing Symbolic can you get???
