I remember it very clearly. Some students asked the administration when Harvard College was going to put up something online with student photos and info and allow networking. The College said, "Real soon now. We should have it ready in 8-9 months." So whathisname said "screw that, I'll do it myself" and sat at his computer, and about 3 weeks later there was Facebook! I signed up right away so I could stalk my student workers...hee hee.
