Late out of the gate, but when will uni students be able to order and download, directly from publishers, individual articles that they need for their papers but which their uni library doesn't have (in the specific e-journals their library subscibes to).....some halcyon future day when I.L.L. IS DEAD AND GONE.

Isn't that what Lexis-Nexis, or some other similar service, is for? I remember being able to pull academic articles off the web for my studies.

I also worked in a university library annex, fulfilling requests for copies of articles that hadn't yet been digitized, too, so I guess there will always be that one odd article.
