I was in my apartment, though the building was set up a bit different than in real life. I suddenly became aware that several people had needed to get in the back entrance, and one woman, who'd ended up opening it, made a snide comment to me, I think something sarcastic regarding how she'd asked me to open the door in advance but I hadn't. I then recalled offering to, but became enraged at her venom, as I knew she'd never specified the time - it'd been one of those general requests, but nothing specific set in stone.

And instead of stewing, I set off to confront her, found her sitting and resting, and I proceeded to tell her off. She was in a rotten mood, it was obvious, and didn't back down per se (at one point she leaned back against the wall, radiating stubborn scorn 'a plenty), but the salient fact here is that I told her off - I reminded her that she'd never specified the time to have the door open by, and that I wasn't going to put up with her attitude. I confronted her, and made my own thoughts on the matter known. I was angry.

But after doing that, I felt better.

And a bit later, a few people came over to where I was doing something else, and I realized they'd been with the woman earlier (before I'd called her on what I saw as her unfair behavior). They didn't seem mad at me, were actually semi-apologizing for her attitude. I had the grace to mention it did look as if she'd been having a rotten day...but again added I wouldn't just put up with her sh*t due to that. I would stand up for my situation. And they didn't seem to find that out-of-line.

Felt good.

I wonder if this is a message to myself: Though it ought to be done carefully....confrontation can work in our favor. It may be that that's a skill that it would behoove me to work on. The delicate art of confrontation (others might call it assertion - the least disruptive form of agression).

I spent some time with Buffy and Willow... and Willow, it turned out, was a vampire and got suddenly famished. And so she turned on me and just utterly attacked me. Was like she had a few seconds of warning, but then went to feed. ^_^ Vicious little bint, too. I considered trying to destroy her, but didn't really want to (at one point I stretched her neck area while we were strugggling physically and considered extreme measures like ripping her throat out with my own teeth, but it still seemed a tad too extreme for someone who had been/usually was a friend). Not pleasant, but I also stood up for myself here, too. She got the equivalent of small feeding from me before I was able to physically hold her mostly away from me; Buffy seemed rather oblivious to the situation but as she started to notice the impromptu escalation, Willow did something vampiricy and went invisible and didn't seem to be an immediate threat anymore. Had withdrawn in some way.

Buffy didn't seem overly concerned about Willow - maybe a tad worried but she'd disappeared, so she informed me it was time for dinner soon. I had this nice dress on and my hair in a bun, but I was worried as I'd left my gear at some spot I'd been earlier. We also were going to don these different shifts and Buffy joked about said dresses. I think in the end, I went back for my stuff.

I spent some time at a craft fair; I think my parents might have brought me. Was a sparse selection of stuff, but I began to find a few nice items I wanted to look at, and got the hopeful idea that perhaps a few craftspeople had yet to arrive and set up. I went up some stairs and around and down again, but later found that way blocked by some tape (not police tape, but in the end having a similar effect). Someone asked me if I'd help one exhibitor complete some project: measuring a shower. I think I got the impression I'd get paid for helping, so I agreed, even though I was due to go elsewhere. But I figured it would not truly take long.
