Among other reasons, women in his family were his allies growing up; that seems to be one reason that some guys eschew adopting that familiar habit of casting women as the 'other' for scape-goating purposes. He seems to clearly 'get' that so many societies have cast women as society's whipping boys in ways both obvious & subtle...
