Went over to the health center at the college where my new Library Assistant PT job is, for a TB test (required of all employees before they start). We'll see if that sucker reacts within 48 hours...better not, as I was immunized like everyone else w ay back when. Least I know how long it takes to get to work now by public transportation.
Stocked up on panty hose and knee highs. Can't get away with the casual-casual (beyond Friday casual) gear that used to be good enough for my former workplace where dealing with the public wasn't an issue. Never really had to have a proper work wardrobe before - who cares what you wear while in a lab?
But even my min. wage PT job doesn't let us wear denim...I guess my denim days are over... Not that much of a biggie, I spoze, except I really like the way denim-blue goes with certain colors like black for instance...but now it's a no-no. *sigh*

When I worked at Dell, it didn't seem to me to just be a Super-casual place to work, but a hygiene-optional place to work. :P When I was at Dell, it was always a blouse, tasteful full skirt or slacks, and good shoes....everyone else around was usually in cut offs, blank t-shirts and (sometimes) sneakers. Then again, at Dell, you could prolly wear coconuts and grass skirts and still be inside the limits. :)
Mind you, I have no problem with casual dress...it's great for those days I wake up late for work...and when I was a boy, casual jobs were ALL I would work (I wouldn't cut my hair, nor would I wear "nice boy clothes.")
