Something about some 'cats' getting at some pet 'mice' kept in a cage in a closet and progressively killing them. Me shooing first one cat away, then another who'd snuck up to try his luck, me getting increasingly annoyed at this development.

---

Walking in an urban setting. Was night I think. I might have wanted to stop by a shop that wasn't guaranteed to be open at that hour.

Going far enough to hear the sound of people coming from behind a hedge-fence, so about to go look, then seeing 'security people' patrolling by walking stolidly back and forth in front of some folks and deciding it was a drive-in movie theater and the walking people were making sure no one sneaked on without paying or caused any disruption during the film. Turning away.

---

Returning from a trip with 'classmates'. There being some confusion regarding whether everyone got back all right, and/or with their own luggage projects. Was a bit of a confusing mess. At one point I talked with a girl who I suddenly ID'd and feared as one of the 'class snob' types - like a Cordelia Chase type of student, yet she was cordial enough then. I peeked at someone's unclaimed trunk and kept asking around as to whom it belonged, and finally someone commented that the kid it belonged to might not have returned with the rest of us.

Ended up in an interior and again a cat figured - kept following me around while I was in certain rooms. There was someone else around, some adult..

Sort of similar to your cats catching mice in cages....

Once upon a time, my son's dad had a snake which he'd feed mice to once a week. Well, one night the mouse actually killed the snake (snake tried swallowing the mouse butt first and the mouse chewed apart the snake's tail - while we were asleep).

The next day, Scott put the mouse cage in the empty bedroom and brought in the cat. There were quite a few mice in the cage. He only set out the "snake killer" mouse and decided to have the cat kill it. The cat, being raised in an apartment had no clue and played with the mouse for hours. The next day, Scott tried again. Within about 5 minutes we heard a crash. My kitty had killed the "snake killer" and attacked the mouse cage and killed every once mouse in it.

It's 11 years later now and my kitty is at my parents' house massacring mice, pocket gophers, birds, rabbits, and shrews on a daily basis. Scott turned my sweet little kitty into a ruthless killer.
