Rant: For Kiri's Loki: 'This new Wet Cat food that Loki now requires...'
I hate it. IT SUCKS! I REFUSE to eat it! Gimme back the stuff I used to like! What's wrong with you? Can't you HEAR me???! HELLO???!!!!
Rant: For Kiri's Sacha: 'This new feeding schedule! Mom I'm STARVING! (We only get fed twice a day instead of eating when we want to now!!!)'
Why are you DOING this to us??! Why are you TORTURING us??! Are you mad at us? What'd we do? I'm HUNGRY!! PLEEEEAASE!!!
Rant: For Kiri's Dante & Loki: 'Sacha keeps chasing us away from the food dishes. We're losing our patience...'
She's crusing for a bruising, that one is...she's been so mean lately; I swear, we're gonna... Oh, shit; she's looking at me. Ummm....maybe later....
Rant: For Kiri: 'Conservatives'
All conservatives are ultimately ruled by fear, though I will focus here on the modus opernundi of conservative "Leaders'.
What the especially smart and ruthless ones known as 'conservative leaders' (political and economic leaders working always hand-in-hand) do is to manipulate their less astute fellows by way of inciting their anxiety. These clever, sucessful conservatives, fearful of not being 'on top', carry out deeds of increasing and incredible ruthlessness in order to avoid what for them is a vague yet terrifying emotional state. I think these 'leaders' are especially frozen at a very early developmental stage: the one where the toddler first realizes he isn't 'the omnipotent center of the universe', thus dissolving into frequent, frustrated temper tantrums (starting about age 2) which are actually fits of existential, wordless terror, an instinctive repudiation of the possibility of a young ego's helplessness & 'death'.
I think they never grew beyond that stage.
They go on to suppress their terror way back down inside, learn the 'rules' of human society, and then proceed to indulge in their 'ambitions': not caring if they create misery for others, and using, abusing and clambering over everyone else on their frantic race to the top of the pyramid, often dividing and conquering their constituencies via the Machiavellian distraction of offering them scapegoats to fear/hate.
In actuality, they smirk inwardly, sometimes behind masks of piousness, as they bask in self-indulgent satisfaction. They've 'won the game'. They have the 'most toys'. They're 'safe', yet can discard and/or can send others to die for their interests.
They must be secure now.
It's all rather Sad, really.
Rant: For Kiri: 'Bush & Cheney'
Neocons & Corporatists (and possibly deluded Dominionists, though it's barely possible that they're merely aping that belief for the benefit of their more rabid religious right consitutency) in Republican clothing.
Ironically, not at all fiscally conservative, and in true fascistic style, caring little for 'small government' or individual freedom, as successful facism (corporatism) requires frequent government intercession on behalf of corporate interests and against individuals' needs.
They would be the new 'feudal overlords', we the 'peasants', with us too economically insecure to bother with protesting their excesses.
But I will not 'curse' them , for they are not worth the wasting of my precious energy in such a manner. See 'Conservatives' above, for additional description.
I merely find them to be Sad. IMO, they're a case of planetary 'cancer'.
I just rather hope they don't take me & mine down with them.
Rant: For Kiri: 'Degradation of Women's Rights currently occurring in America.'
Faludi was right, in Backlash: There's a war on against the women of America. Personally, I think it's a combination of the classic neocon 'divide & conquer' (aimed at insecure men) with a dash of 'Must get my own back against Mommy becuase she Controlled me when I was Little' thrown in for good measure.
I also think the heart of the current anti-abortion push, the leaders' actual motivation, is simply the fascistic impulse to keep the birth rates up.
Frequent wars of Enterprise do use up the able bodies quickly, after all.
Also, the more bodies...the cheaper the labor force.
To them, women are units of Production. So why would they give a fuck what we want in our lives if it inteferes with their wants?

I like how they just assume. That's cos they can't stand the thought that not everyone agrees with them. So if you don't rebutt, then they assume that you agree.
Boy, if some of them knew what I was really thinking-!

Rant: For Jenn: 'Bunnies'
Bunnies are so CUTE!
They're also mean mo-fos - when they want to be. You know what? Monty Python wasn't that far off, when they put that 'killer bunny' into the Holy Grail movie, okay? Have you seen what they can do with those hind legs??? They can do some damage.
They're as stubborn as anyone else, too - no wimps, they. Seen 'em face down a house cat, no problem. They want what they want, they have their ways of letting you know.
They'll also use a litter box just like a cat - and their poops are even (relatively speaking) smaller and lots more discreet compared to other 'house pets'.
In the wild, they 'thump' those hind legs to warn their fellows that they think there's imminent danger - and darned if they don't do that in your house, too. Really gets the message across.
And as far as they're concerned...we humans are just more 'big bunnies'. They're cute and sociable and (relatively speaking) smart and really soft and I ADORE them.

Wow; that's some quality management. NOT. You know, I really like being ignored while those asswipes get away with their shit. Twits. What the hell are they paying management for, anyway? Half the time they don't even do their jobs. And then they wonder why there's such a high turn-over.
