What I like about the iPod Shuffle is the ability to recharge through the USB port. No messing with replacement batteries. No need for a separate AC adapter.
I love my 20GB Nomad Zen Jukebox, don't get me wrong. But it's just a little to bulky and heavy to carry comfortably in a pocket while up walking around, and because it's got a hard drive, you have to be careful about not shaking it around too much.
A nice tiny, no-moving-parts player that recharged through the USB port of a computer would be so nice. :-)
Rechargable = nice, true. I can use a rechargable AA battery in my players if I want (though I usually don't - bad me!) and I get many hours use with the single battery. I do wonder how long the inbuilt batteries last.

There are cheaper ones to be had, on eBay, though.
