Here are a couple others:
The original reads, it is easier for a ROPE to pass through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter heaven (rope is mistranslated as camel, of all things!)

And the glass slipper in Cinderella - was a fur slipper in the original. (Apparently the french word for fur or slipper was mistranslated as glass.)

The english version of the bible has all kinds of mistranslations in it - thou shalt not kill being one of the more obvious and well known ones.

Personally, I tend to read for meaning, not technical accuracy. Cinderella is a good story and a camel is much more memorable than a rope (and makes the point better lol) and not killing is a good rule of thumb - a guideline rather than a rule or law (god certainly has no problem killing or ordering it done in the old testament!)

Here is one last quote - there is nothing so uncommon as common sense.
