::A- on the Ref. final, B for an over-all course grade. *whew*

::Yesterday evening was my last full library (and late-night) shift. I'll go in for a couple of hours on Friday (library closes at 5 pm, the semester officially over then), and that'll be it. Brought in a dozen Krispy-Kremes for my co-workers (including the student assistants) to enjoy. Much happy munching. One of the students, a freshman who'll (presumably) be back working there in the Fall, hadn't realized I was leaving there; upon hearing that, she groused mildly how 'Everything's changing!' She'd already been reminded that the other student on that shift, with whom she'd gotten along famously, is a senior and now through with college. I know the feeling, kiddo. People you liked moving on, people coming and going. All that stuff.

But there you go.

Was vaguely amused to note the different ways those of us on that shift marked the event: I brought in food (showing affection through food); another student (grad student) worker who was also moving on now that the semester was over brought in her camera and had someone take a group photo to remember us by.

Aww. ^__^ Some of the observatory staff (at least, the few I've told) are reacting similarly to the idea that my time here is limited. (Might be a term, might be a year, but it's on the horizon.) I should get them some Krispy Kremes.
