Biphasic sleeping night - unusual. Took nap right after supper due to feeling so very logey; in a hour or so, got up and went to bed conventionally (still early), so, naturally, woke up at a little before 1 am. Did some breathing/meditation exercises that I had meant to do before bed, then realized I was wicked hungry, ate a small meal, then went back to bed for a couple of hours.
Dreampt that I was back working with the very last boss I worked for as a research assistant. (Who in real life I wouldn't ever go back to, needless to say, given how we parted). But it was as if some predetermined time had passed or she had to now hire me back or something. Anyway, I was working and she had stopped by the room I was in to tell me something, when some other staff/employee wandered in, (interrupting us, needlesstosay), and she let herself be distracted and started talking to him, not even excusing herself to me.*
I immediately noted to myself the rudeness/disrespect/microagression/passive agression that this was, and when they were done, asked to meet with her shortly thereafter (I intended to let her know this wasn't acceptable). She agreed.
However, when I went to her desk to meet with her there (there was no private office with door that could be closed, which is of course a management no-no for that very reason), just as I started to tell her that what had happened was unacceptable, scores of people started showing up, babbling excitedly about some unexpected event that was happening nearby or some such. Unable to talk privately, I told her we'd have to re-schedule to later that day, but that if we couldn't get a private area to meet in, we'd have to have the meeting in HR, but just to be guaranteed a private meeting space.
* I don't recall this ever being an actual issue in that job, BTW.
