Dreamed I was at a Doctor Who convention. I remember being at the 'closing ceremonies', but instead of a large room with plenty of chairs and a stage, it was a narrower area, with people sitting on either side with only a narrow area for those announcing/performing to move along (on the order of a traditional church's choir area). I sat among the attendees, and saw someone below, presumably one of the actor-guests, kind of working the crowd (signing autographs, I thought).
Then some guy made an announcement, something about someone they'd been hoping would make it there (for the closing statements, I thought), someone who'd used to be friends or spend a lot of time with a certain two others who were there. So I got this impression of a hoped-for mini-reunion or something that hadn't come off. That seemed to close the events off, and the group started to break up.
I followed two guys as they were leaving - one I thought had been one of the guests. I shadowed them as they went down into the Underground (which made me also think I was in London). I was thinking that either we were in Newark (site of one con I attended yeaaars ago) or that I had to get there. I had it in my head that my parents were fairly nearby, and if I got to where they were (in their hotel??), they'd put me up for the night and then take me back home with them when they left. At any rate I got it in my head that those two guys were headed in the direction I needed to go, so I was going to follow them onto the platform and train I needed.
Whether they were aware I was shadowing them or not, they both suddenly took off, sprinting along the long passageway. I got the impression that they were familiar with their route and could hear their train starting to pull in, and so were making a dash for it, more than trying to get away from me.
Still, I was left behind, and was Pissed Off. I considered pursuing, but the passage I was in now had other pedestrains moving at a more leisurely pace. I started to make a dash for it, snapped 'Excuse me-!' at two women walking side by side, and they parted for me. Rude me. I made it out to a platform but not the right one, I decided. Now I had to retrace my steps and go look at a subway poster/ask someone how to get to the platform to get to Newark. Sigh.

This next bit is a bit embarrassing, due to what I interpreted it as while it was happening. I was on the side of a road; the surroundings made me think it was part of my childhood neighborhood. There was some blond guy who reminded me of the startingly, almost platinum blond Freddie Prinze Jr. as Freddie in the Scooby Doo movie. And so I think I assumed I was in a...yep, Scooby Doo scenario. Ugh. 'Freddie' was tending to something in the road, a cart? (Baby stroller or carriage?) Some little vehicle, I thought. I saw a car approaching from far down the road and starting worrying it would be out to get us somehow. (Well, it WAS a Scooby Doo scenario, right??) Then either that vehicle or another seemed to be in the 'field' next to the road, a field next to my parent's place in real life. I undoubtedly worried a bit, but nothing bad really seemed to happen subsequently that I recall.
