I discovered that I had a cousin I'd never been told about (one aunt had had a child out of wedlock). I was amazed, astonished and dismayed at the size of this secret, kept from me. Despite my anger at having been robbed of hitherto knowing this relative, I also came to appreciate the depth of emotion this person's existence raised in my folks (especially my mother), them being from one of the earlier generations where this sort of thing simply wasn't admitted to.
I also thought I was at my alma mater's campus, futzing around (I'd been thinking of the old library there, as I went to sleep).
