My dad seemed in a peppy mood; he called to thank me for the little travel alarm clock I sent him - seemed to like it. :) Yesterday, very rainy and raw, was mostly a lost cause - though I did organize some junk on my computer and made sure once and for all that any stuff I wanted from the 'recovered' disk sent to me anonymously by the person who'd been sold my stolen computer in '00 had been transferred over - got back some fonts I'd been missing, for instance. Also organized all my image files neatly into folders based on who'd made them, and figured out how to use the live journal 'cut' tags.

Rowed with a friend in chat last night; it was obstensively about my world view, but to me it felt more like he'd gotten tired of my venting/attitude about certain issues. Some other online friends I've stopped corresponding with used to frustrate me due to their attitudes/venting. Taking a lesson from how that had turned out in the end, I chose to engage in vigorous discussion instead of retreating, withdrawing and growing apart. We shall see how it goes.

Which Alan Rickman Character Are You?

>
Following in the family tradition of having a nice Sunday dinner:

An herb-rubbed baked chicken leg, freshly-made frites, yellow beans, and an iced tea later, and I'm feeling pretty content. Ring Dings are on special this month (fifty cents a 2-pack), so I had one of those for dessert.

I tells you, that presto fry daddy is great - 15 minutes warm-up and then 3 minutes later, ya got fresh fries on the plate. Rock and Roll!!!

I'm trying to lose weight, though, so I can see right now I'm going to have to make the fries a once-a-week only thing. Damn, those things are so good fresh. But if I can have 'em once a week (on the weekend I guess), that'll be good.
