I'm enjoying finding solutions to life's various little annoyances. Situations that, when more depressed in the past, I always let slide under my radar, accepting the discomfort in this sort of fog of learned helplessness.
Now, more and more frequently, I'm fixing the problems.
Winter contributes its share. For noses dried out by indoor heating, try as I am doing a nasal saline gel or spray available at any pharmacy, or even make your own (dispense with a nasal bulb).
For shoes that could use just a little bit more cushioning, a bit more oomph...try a fancy pair of insoles, in some funky gel or a memory-contour foam.
And don't ever be afraid to tell the landlord (if at all reasonable a person) that something (like a faucet or light socket) needs repairing. (I'll never again wait 3 years to get a light socket repaired.)
