Disappointed...

Had not yet seen the 1st Harry Potter movie; Rickman's Snape simply wasn't as Nasty as I'd heard he was, certainly not as much so as in the books.

Wondering if that rep. comes more from the 2nd movie (which I also haven't seen yet).

Or whether it's total bunk. Or whether it's as always subjective, in the eye of the beholder. *shrug*

I thought he seemed rather nasty, mainly because of the 'glares' and tone of voice when he says, 'Potter' - but no, I don't think he was as much as he was made out to be in the book - but then again, books use your own imagination - which you can amplify or whatever.
