Depending on Budget I can highly recommend the Nikon D3100. I Just moved up to it from a bridge camera and as my first entry into the world of DSLR's it's been great at not only being intuitive but in also having a guide mode that tells me all sorts of useful information (rather than just trying to do all the settings for me).
