Got me a domain name registration renewal coming up... Anyone here got any domain name registration companies they'd recommend? (IE, good support, cheap price/yr without renewing for multiple years right now)...

I use godaddy cuz I'm a cheap SOB, but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. (If you do like cheap and are good at looking around for all of the bits to check to not be spammed with godaddy e-mail, then they might be an option.)

I highly recommend NameCheap.com, they charge $9.29 a year (which actually beats GoDaddy), their interface is simple and easy to use, and I've never had a moment's trouble with them.

BTW, Trina, I'm surprised to see you at GoDaddy -- but perhaps you weren't a member there when the owner put up a homophobic "message from the CEO" on the front page. I moved my domains away from there within the hour of when it went up. (It was at least two years ago -- maybe longer. I belonged for about a week after their famous SuperBowl ad.)

I found their interface at GoDaddy all but impossible to use, as well.

I've been very happy so far with NameSecure. However, the person running my webserver has recently begun to move into domain registration. Check out http://your.org . Kevin's a great guy, and once my NameSecure contract ends (2012) I plan to move over to your.org.
