Snagged a free cherry-stain-color wooden bedside table left outside the apt. complex (one door needs to be re-attached to its hinges); kind of light (plywood and veneer is involved; for its time, a cheap piece), but design-wise, a very nice shape. Go figure.

That's part of what I love about living in the city. Somebody is always going to throw away or abandon a bit of furniture that's in fairly good shape, if not perfect shape. That's where I got most of my furniture...the back alleys next to dumpsters, usually in the spring when the college students are packing up and moving away.
