That sounds nice. I think I'm about ready to get back on something like that myself, at least at home. Too much junk food this week. :P

Yeah, but one of the little side effects of eating this way is...

...quitting refined sugar cold turkey.

Just a little detail, there....

Hunter gatherer diet?

Are you only eating what you kill and clean yourself?

I've actually read about this diet. It's supposed to be better for us as humans because that's what we evolved to be able to eat.

It's not necessary to kill and clean your own meat, but cuts should be lean and roasted (not fried) and used very, very sparingly. After all, it wouuld have been very difficult for early cavemen to chase down and kill something to eat on a regular basis.

The rest of the food intake should be primarily fresh fruit and vegetables, nuts and seeds. I don't remember if the fruit and veggies are supposed to always be raw, but they certainly should be as often as possible.

Not only is it supposed to be better nutritionally, it's also supposed to help someone who is overweight lose the excess fat. Along with proper exercise of course.

It sounded very interesting when I read about it, but it was so long ago I forgot most of the details.

Keep us posted on how it's working out for you?
