I was wandering the house I grew up in but found myself noticing changes - it had this central, courtyard room that I hadn't seen before. My 'dad' (and other random people who were strolling around), when asked, said that no, this was correct; it was a type of early 19th century house that would have been constructed that way, had this type of central feature, and that it would have had grass in it (been a true courtyard; almost like in some ancient roman houses). After he said that, suddenly, it had grass (when it hadn't a few moments before). Any of my (slightly perturbed) insistences to the contrary were met with a standard rebuttal - that nope, the house had this.
In short, it was seeing a substantial structural change, being Bemused, and being told matter-of-factly, "Nope; this is supposed to be here; standard to the model."
