Combo of Urban and Interior dream scenes. Had a place to live, then the rent went up unacceptably or I just wanted to go somewhere different; I looked around but realized I'd had a good situation where I'd been; seemed like I could come back, but when I looked at the new lease terms, my portion of the rent was way higher than anyone else's. Bugger. (At which point, felt victimized by the Mean, Spiteful landlord.) Looked around a bit more but hadn't solved the housing dilemna as of sequence end time.
Was in an interior (feel was similar to a public space; a 'cafe''?) with two school chums from undergrad. Other people wer around nearby. Got up to go do or get something and turned my head to tease one of them in the sort of way she used to usually tease me (almost as if to say, 'I've mastered this type of teasing now'): I made a reference to can-can dancing (but in the dream, amusingly, didn't use that exact term - described it functionally, as if I were having an aphasia about the exact term - saying (not necessarily verbally) something about how perhaps we three ought to do that dance where they do the high kicks - and glanced mischeviously back at her to add that I couldn't tell from her expression whether she liked or was frightened by the concept. She looked back at me with an amused expression that seemed to communicate that yes, I was taking on the mischevious role she so often used to do.
