Was a 'School Dream' - in these, I go wandering in a school setting, sometimes feeling out of place (for example, not sure what classroom to go to) or wondering why I'm (still) there.  In last night's dream, the setting felt High-School-ey, but wasn't actually the setting as I recall it, of the high school I went to.

I wandered down hallways and by what seemed to be classroom areas (seemed more open-plan than most) some of which had a few people in them, but was not accosted or challenged by anyone.  After a bit, went outside as the scene (apparently) shifted.  Next to the school grounds, saw some people doing something.  There may have been some machinery involved (crane?) as if there were construction going on.  But then it became apparent that some guy (turned out to be a politician - the governer?) was dropping something (a coffin, a little one, a child's coffin!) carelessly into a (burial?) hole, as if it were a cemetary.  He literally carelessly, with no respect, tossed it in.  I was appalled, and in a judgemental moment (which I never have <-- sarcasm), considered ratting him out to the media, in a 'People need to know about this!' kind of way.  I also asked someone nearby what party he was - and yes, fully epxtected to be told that he was a Republican - but it turned out he was a Democrat.  Fine, yes, I get the Point - a party label isn't necessarily a shortcut to sussing out someone's true character.

Another scene (though may have been connected to the above) invloved feeling under threat and deciding to walk the bounds of the place I was visiting/staying at (which was more reminiscent of where I grew up), and putting up 'wards' - the intent was more important than the actual words/ritual, but it involved sprinkling something at several points and some consistent words being said.  I was quite nervous that a nasty antagonist (sort of a Snape type, maybe Snape himself?) might show up any minute, and so was anxious to hurry out and complete my protective process.  I had started, but don't recall if I'd finished by the time I woke up.
