Was at some demo/lecture; behind the others who were sitting. I started doing some stretches (a series I do every morning). I could have (theoretically) been 'rude', doing this, but didn't get the impression at the time that what I was doing was so outre.

My neice appeared, and started asking questions and being borderline rude (as little kids are when they don't know how things go). She was asking about what was going on there, etc.  I explained to her quietly that she wasn't old enough to participate, or some such.  Basically gently letting her know she had to be patient and not (inadvertantly) rude by barging in and blathering, etc., as she'd crashed the party, so to speak.

A young male also appeared.  I (and Maddie) were sat upon the floor, on a mat, behind the other attendees, who seemed to be sitting in chairs.  He sat (literally) right next to me (as in, body contact).  Not sure if I 'recognized' him, but he gave off 'safe to be with' vibes, that I recall.  At one point, he did mischeviously grab momentarily at one of my feet, 'joking' that he'd done it due to being startled to 'find' it there near him.  But other than that, he wasn't obnoxious. There may have been a sense of comfort or security that he was there.

My neice inquired about when she could do this, too (attend such a demo) - when she was 18?  (She's at the stage of trying to figure out how old people are, what they do at what age, that sort of thing.)  Amused, the presenter (a woman), answered that she'd would be old enough to do this sort of thing (impression of a test or certification; perhaps for yoga or some other physical pursuit?) when she was 13.

Also sequences with a sense of being in shool, me stressed at not being caught up - saw my best chum from undergrad there as well. She seemed a bit annoyed that I was so distracted (and/or wasn't in a state of mind to be able to help *her*, maybe?)
