Didn't overdo it today - I had more to eat than usual, but certainly not the thousands of extra calories that it's said many take in on an average Thanksgiving.
Extra stuff I wouldn't have normally eaten on an average week day (looking at the entire day here, not just the Thanksgiving meal) consisted of:
--one croissant (literally fresh from that morning, still warm, made by my eldest brother)
--2 additional cups of coffee (one mid-morning with the croissant, one with dessert)
--the gravy
--the scalloped oyster stuffing
--the Stamberg relish
--argueably one of the veggie servings - I usually have 1-2 kinds per meal, rather than today's three
--the little scoop of ice cream on the apple pie
--oh, and one after-diner mint.
One helping only at today's holiday meal.
