Every time that I have a fit of nostalgia (every several years) and decide to participate in my hometown's Old Home Day craft fair, I always go into it with anticipatory zeal - then come away from it deflated by the reality. I keep (re-)forgetting that in the end, it is just 'small town doings', and that their idea of what makes a proper craft fair (and the organization thereof) is not the same as mine, nor of your average, more organized group.
