Vacation's winding down; Sarah & kids moved on to the 3rd leg of their trip on Wed.; we parted after a reasonably enjoyable trip to Old Sturbridge Village.
Snagged me a solid wood Workbench shaker desk with built-in drawers and cubby holes from the local charity shop for $110; it's in place and looking mighty fine. Now that's a Proper desk. There're a few normal wear marks, including itty bitty scratches on the legs (someone had a persistent house beast).
I also got me a $5 1/8" stereo jack audio connector from Radio Shack and now play my iPod shuffle through my Koss table radio at will.
