Full (and more than) night's sleep, up early enough to get in a good work-out this morning - got all 3 visits to Curves in this week (which I hadn't been so good about the past month). But what I'm most satisfied with was not eating more than one normal snack (when I was genuinely hungry) last evening. That was important to me, as I've scarfed down alot of carbs on past evenings (multiple servings, etc - essentially binging), and have been recently been forced to admit to myself that that's where my inability to get below my usual weight set-point, even after year of Curves work-outs, has come from. The exercise wasn't quite enough to tip the balance into weight loss...but severely curbing the evening snacking should be the missing key.

On the way back home, saw a local school's flea market/fair fund-raiser a few blocks from my 'hood. Got off the bus and browsed it; got a fairly decent name-brand green linen sleeveless shell for $2, and had a hamburger for lunch, as I'd gotten hungry and figured, heck, might as well donate a little more $ to the cause. After all, ain't no school that can't use any and all funding it can get it's hands on. Was a good hamburger, too. So.

Then I checked out the other fund-raiser flea market/craft-fair on the other end of the 'hood, this one raising money for a church. They also had craftspeople in the front yard, from one of whom I bought a $5 (but good-sized) bar of peppermint soap.

Most of the tables were jewelry - nothing wrong with it, just not my style. I also noticed not as much attention paid to presentation/display as I would have expected. Seems to me one needs to make it pleasant and easy for the customer to look at it, and include easy-to-see pricing. But that apparent glut of jewelry is one reason that while I have in the past and may again make some jewelry (in my case, a specific style of earrings), it will never be my main focus.

When I've made up enough stock and have my business cards/boxes/bags/stickers, I need to hit a few craft fairs. Except, of course, they're time-intensive. And while I finally have free and weekend time again, I'm not sure I want to spend it all sitting around at craft fairs. So... I'd rather end up getting my stuff into shops, and also sell a bit via online, so that I can enjoy the occasional foray out to a fair.

I also need to plug into the local crafters grapevine now, so that I know of upcoming events...
