AVAST, YOU SCURVY DOGS! ON DECK!!!!

This is the BexMod, saying to you, you poor, cursed
souls, that 'tis time! Aye, 'tis time for yet another
dread journey, the likes of which those not cursed as
we are have never seen, and can even less imagine!

Aye, the Muses call us out, yet again!

And as always, we must answer the Call.

Heed always the...

SIGN-UP BEGINS: Monday evening, September 1st
SEND SIGN-UP MAILS DIRECTLY TO: bex@luoda.com

*NOTE*: Do NOT sign up by posting to the newsgroup.

SIGN-UP ENDS: 12 Midnight EST, Sunday, September 7th
CHAPTER DUE SCHEDULE WILL BE POSTED: Monday evening, September 8th
1ST CHAPTER WILL BE DUE: 12 Midnight EST, Sunday September 14th
1ST CHAPTER WILL BE POSTED: Monday evening, September 15th.

-First come, first serve for sign-up. Anyone who signs up
too late to get a spot will be given priority consideration
(ie, guaranteed a spot) on the next story.

-I reserve the right to perform light copy-editing on all
chapters submitted, and to send any chapters deemed in
need of more serious editing back to their writers for
corrections if I deem that can be done in 24 hours or less
(and if the next writer on the list also agrees to the delay).
If the next writer does not agree to that slight loss of time
in which to work on his/her chapter, or if I deem the chapter
too badly in need of corrections, I reserve the right to reject
it utterly.

At that point, an emergency writer (usually me) might
produce a replacement chapter. Otherwise, the story
will simply remain on hold until the next week's chapter
is due. That rule will also hold if someone cannot deliver
a chapter in time due to (what had bl**dy well better be)
an emergency.

-By agreeing to participate in this round-robin, you agree
to allow posting of your chapter(s) on this newsgroup, as
well as to them being archived on at least one web site
designated for the archiving of adwc round-robins.
Other than that, you retain your own copyright to said
chapter(s). However, you will NOT retain copyright on
any original characters, as they may become recurring
characters in future round-robins, whether you participate
in those as well or not.

If you have an original character you might like to use in
DW or original fiction later, DO NOT USE IT in any
round-robins.

-A chapter of somewhere between 2,000 to 5,000 word-count
is expected. This being Who, kick-ass cliff-hangers are
admired, classy escapes from same in the beginning of
the next chapter even more so.

-Not admired are lazy-ass 'reboots'. Nor is bitching and
moaning (publically) to your fellow writers simply because
a fellow round-robiner took the story in a direction that you
personally don't like. (What you do in private to vent I
care not. Blogs I consider 'private'.) But participating
in a round-robin is a collective enterprise, for the sheer
fun of seeing what (if anything) we come up with - if you
want to control the entire flow of the story, then you
should be off writing your own fanfics.

-All confirmations and notices will be e-mailed to all
participants. Make sure your e-mail is current and working
properly.
-All chapters will be e-mailed directly to participants,
as well as posted to adwc and eventually archived on at
least one web page.

~*THIS WILL BE A NINTH DOCTOR STORY*~
If you're not aware that Richard E. Grant is to be the 9th
Doctor, read up on that new development here:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/cult/news/drwho/2003/07/09/5660.shtml

Yes, we're going to write for him before we 'see' him.

Why? Cos we're good like that. (In the very first IA, back in early
'96, we wrote for the as yet unseen 8th Doctor.)

IMO, there's enough in that article to get us started.

Damn, I forgot what # we're on, now....
