May have done a bit of traveling. At any rate, ended up in a place I took to be the college I went to. Found myself in what I assumed to be the athletic facilities; I carefully stepped around a woman and her child who were sitting outside one area so I could peek at what I took to be a swimming class in one of at least two pools there. (The school'd been refurbishing the athletic amenities as I graduated, so I just assumed this was a new complex they'd built.) But I didn't dare go too close to peek; I was afraid someone'd scold me for interrupting the class. I caught a glimpse, and decided it might've been a synchronized swimming class (which was one sport our school had done reasonably well in, but which isn't as I understand a sport that every school around supports, being somewhat specialized as well as coaching/space intensive...)
Made chicken stock out of the chicken carcass... so I used every bit of that damned bird. Was so much easier than I'd assumed. 'Course, having the free time due to only working part time helps. Then I turned around and immediately used that as the base to a rather nice lentil soup.

Finally made flapjacks (oat bars) years after having originally had them and really liking them. Like many tasty things, are very simple, being just oats, butter, and sugar. Not terribly light, so not something that I'll be having often. But had to try making them at least once. Also, not quite as fun as I'd recalled, though that might have been due to them being a tad over-cooked and maybe thus drier than they were supposed to be. I'm assuming these things are in effect the original 'granola bars'.

Will be using cooked chicken for curried chicken salad. Froze some of the meat cooked Sunday for use within the next few weeks so I won't be eating the same damned thing all the time.

Later this week - homemade pizza.

The whole 'you see what you expect' concept has of course big implications regarding what we see of our reality in general (our individual world-views aside).

Our 'senses', plus our 'expectations'... ever wonder might be 'lurking'...just out of the corner of our perception's eye...? ^_^
