I was with my father; seemed to be at the old homestead. We were going to travel somewhere. However, the vehicle was a pickup truck, not the usual car we used to have when I was growing up. Some guy, whom I took to be an 'insurance guy', stopped by briefly, asking what I thought were nosy questions. I decided he was looking for us (but we threw him temporarily off the scent by not admitting who we were), and was trying to nail us for not having paid some insurance bill or something. So I got the im pression we were at risk of getting stopped or arrested once we went out on the road, if he came after us again. So the immiment trip took on a slightly desperado edge. One of my brothers decided to come with us. Before we could leave, a couple of women appeared; I decided they'd come to visit my folks, were colleagues from my dad's work (he was a school teacher before he retired; here he didn't seem to have yet retired). They were sitting outside at an outdoor metal table. Someone had put a couple of b owls of cookies on the table; I assumed the women had brought them, and while my dad and the visitors exchanged pleasantries, I grabbed a few and scarfed them down - in total kid food consumer mode - grab whatever you can, whenever you can get away wi th it. They reminded me of homemade sugar cookies, though with a bit more texure. Some were thinner than others, so probably a mixture of varieties. Then dad turned to go again, back to the truck, and I dithered, saying if he wanted to go some other time, wanted to stay and socialize with his friends now instead... but in the end we left for wherever it was we'd intended to go originally. Recall however fades before our destination.

With a bunch of people, waiting around in a throng for someone to g ive something out. I thought it was 'tickets' (maybe for travel), something I really needed to make sure I got. Some blonde girl pushed up by me, trying to get to the front of the group, I thought, and I kind of growled in irritation at her, and she back at me. I then myself stepped forward more, off of a 'curb', and must have decided what the hell, and I went over to where the person about to hand the stuff out was (there was some sort of divider or curtain behind which was a table, I think), p eeke d around it...and saw that the distributor had gone around the other side and started handing out the stuff to the waiting people but from the other end. Feeling sheepish, I passed around the curtain/screen, and after coming up behind the person, fina lly got my whateveritwas. Ticket, whatchamacallit...
