Pushed myself this morning so I'd get out to my Curves workout, get in my 3 workouts (been, um, a while since I've done all 3 a week as I ought to - I'm very glad I've kept on, but I ought to be doing 3, and I backslid to 2, even just 1 a week the past few weeks...and it shows).

And just as I'm about to walk out the door, I realize there are strong fumes going up the old building's stairwell, presumably from the oil furnace (which I know was repaired yesterday). Some are creeping into my apartment's foyer. Smells like freakin' strong car exhaust.

Which is generally NOT a good sign. A good whiff of that, and I'm half-gagging.

So I consult with a few neighbors in the building, a few of us call the 'emergency #' (an answering service), I finally get through and tell them about the problem.

And now of course it's too late to go to my workout (only open limited hours on Saturdays). As if I would just go out now, leaving my pet cat behind, when I don't know the status of the air quality here, or what the hell is up with the furnace. Carbon Monoxide, anyone?

So now I'm sitting here, windows cracked open so we can avoid dying from CO (I'm picky that way), snarling inwardly. It's been real hard getting up and out on time on Saturdays, and the morning I finally get my act together and am just about to do it...

THIS @#$%ING HAPPENS!!!

Don't worry hon. If it had been colorless odorless CO, death would floated down like feather instead of hit you in the nose. Isn't that a comforting thought? Glad the furnace people are fixing it now.

As for the workouts, hey, it's the holidays! No exercise is allowed until after New Year's. Those limited shop hours say it all. :)
