Went by car to a restaurant and/or resort area to meet up with a guy I was dating. He may have been an employee or part of a family that owned a or that  restaurant. Seemed to be a public/bank holiday; lots of people seemed to be out and about, enjoying themselves. But also could have been just a weekend (with lots of people out, looking for a place to brunch). I may have been (or felt) a bit late, so I apologized a bit, but when I met up wit the guy, felt pretty secure in a lean-against-him-without-self-consciusness type of way. Got the impression that he was a 'less rough-edged Kamen' - actual thought during the dream - (name of an actual, former Bulgarian grad student apartment mate who eventually became a problem roommate).

Saw there were cats in the restaurant (which wouldn't be allowed in an equivalent contemporary restaurant), but I assumed they were there to keep vermin out after hours. One cat first appeared from under a table or bench, looking for affection (I got the impression that this cat was on her way to becoming internet-famous), but several others soon showed up. In other words...he was a 'cat person' (always a good recommendation).
