Dreams 07/13/2020

Unpleasant dreams just prior to waking (low blood sugar, maybe?). Apparently observing someone else's travails — at least two people (a male and female) in some vertical tunnel or maybe in an elevator shaft? Atop the elevator car? Wasn't clear. It might be that several others were attempting to climb up to join them. Seemed to see a couple of 'scenes' of one or two attempting it, then failing (and obviously falling and being killed, though 'off screen'). Eg: a scream, suddenly cut off. One of those who'd made it and who were trying to help the others expressing their horror and disappointment. Someone flinching their head away, someone holding up the broken end of a rope. That sort of thing. It was almost a collection of visual film tropes.

comments

Yeah, you'd think I'd have more recalled dreams during a pandemic; nope.

Bad style of Anxiety dream - the 'Forget you have baby to take care of' dream.

Was mucking about in an interior, but I may have been male in this one. Seemed to have two female babies/children (and to know this, and be happy/content about it); but suddenly realized (with a kind of dull horror / confusion) that supposedly I had a male baby, too.

Whom I'd completely 'forgotten' about. He was (probably) in a room somewhere at hime...except I hadn't even thought about him in....weeks? Months?

Surely (if I were the only one responsible for him), he'd starved/died...? How could this have happened / been allowed to happen?

And all I did was think abut how I had better check (as uncomfortable as this all was/would be) when I got home. Not even asking for a reality check instantly.

I Hate this type of dream. I think it's a deep-seated self-accusation of Incompetence, and that I have it when I feel I'm Losing the Thread.

comments

In some interior; one woman was there; I got the impression that her name matched the name of one of the main antagonists ('Abaddon') from Jen Dolari's 'A Wish for Wings' online comic. I recalling thinking something to the effect of 'Ooohh, that means she's likely a baddie!!' to myself.

* * *

Woke, then slept again. Was either part of or watching some scenario which had a 'horror trope' element. Some guy got pissed at some woman, then shoved her at this hole in a house foundation, after which she was dragged inside by some Monster or other. A few blood splatter were seen (again, classic 'Must infer more than explicitly show' Trope).

comments

Some wanderings somewhere. Saw a demo of a 'non-lethal' LE control device which turned out...to also be lethal. Some type of 'tubing' would get around perps. then sedate them. Except, during the demo, it turned out that if they struggled too much / or maybe if the drug wasn't working on them within some set span of time...it would kill them. As I watched in vague horror, the tubing or netting killed them, then seemed to immediately dissolved them, as the tubing kind of forced into a crinkled ball around where they used to be.

comments
